The Reverend David E. Pattee was called to be the next Senior Pastor of CUCC, beginning January 1, 2016. The call is the result of a year-long national search culminating in a vote of the Congregation at a meeting September 20, 2015.
Pattee, native to Portland, Oregon most recently served as Senior Pastor at Kent UCC in Kent, Ohio. Prior to his call to Kent UCC, Rev Pattee served congregations in LaGrange, Homewood and Frankfort, Illinois and Camden, Connecticut.
He is a graduate of Northwestern University and Chicago Theological Seminary where he later served as vice-president for development. He also served two years as Director of Planned Giving at Roosevelt University and as a stewardship and fundraising consultant to UCC congregations in Illinois and Michigan.
As a graduate seminary student he worked under the aegis of the United Church Board for World Ministries (now known as “Global Ministries) in Zambia, working with Zambian theology students for the United Church of Zambia. While there he studied Zambian hymn traditions and implemented the publication for the first time several indigenous tunes (Songs of Hope and Peace, Pilgrim Press, 1988)
Rev. Pattee replaced  Rev. Dr. John R. Rodgers who served as Senior Pastor since 1997.
