Family Camp 2014 -Blowing Rock Conference Center
Blowing Rock Conference Center is a UCC not-for-profit Outdoor Ministry Center. Our church has enjoyed Family Camp there several times, most recently in the summer of 2014. Blowing Rock, NC sits at a cool 4,000 foot elevation in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Summer temperatures rarely rise above 80° during the day; evenings are generally less than 70°.
Area Activities and Resources included hiking, parks, whitewater rafting, The Blowing Rock, Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain/Mile High Swinging Bridge, Moses Cone Park & Manor, Tweetsie Railroad (theme park), Blue Ridge Parkway, horseback riding, shopping, golf, The Biltmore Estate (in Asheville), and lots more! Gym (volleyball or basketball) and swimming pool were available on request.
