The Night Ministry compassionately provides housing, health care, outreach, spiritual care, and social services to adults and youth who struggle with homelessness, poverty, and loneliness. Night Ministry accepts individuals as they are and offer support as they seek to improve their lives.
CUCC has participated by supporting The Night Ministry financially, but more importantly by traveling to Chicago several times a year to bring a meal to Night Ministry clients on the streets of Chicago neighborhoods, or in Night Ministry youth shelters. We will serve a meal in Garfield Park on Saturday, January 19 as part of CUCC’s MLK Service Opportunity Week. We have at least one more service opportunity in Lakeview, on Friday evening, May 24. Signup to make sandwiches or provide other meal items, and/or to go with a small group of CUCC members and friends to serve the meal, on the Mission Bulletin Board in Rodgers Fellowship Hall.
