March 21st Update
Dear Church Family,
After a week that was anything but ordinary for all of us, this community continues to find
creative ways to “be the church,” even from a distance. I see you, the church, looking for new
avenues to live out our calling to Worship, Welcome, and Justice.
While we follow protocol and the church remains closed, you’re invited to join in worship from
the comfort of your own home. This week’s sermon will be available Sunday morning on the
CUCC website. Listen in as we continue to follow Joseph’s story in Genesis 41.
Below you will find additional updates and upcoming events.
Church Office
While the building is closed, Trish Thompson continues to attend to the administrative needs
of our church: listening to messages, checking the mail, responding to emails, etc. This week,
many inquired how to continue giving pledges/offerings; you may send them in the mail,
bring them to the white drop box at church, or use the “Donation” tab at the very top of the
webpage. If you have additional questions, please reach out to Trish:office@cuccstc.org.
Website Updates
On our website’s homepage, www.cuccstc.org, you’ll find new buttons such as “CUCC
Updates” for COVID-19 related information and “Online Worship,” where you can get the
weekly sermons.
High School Youth Ministry
GF will meet on ZOOM at their regular time, Wednesdays at 7 PM. High school students
should look for updates for upcoming events such as watching movies together, digital talent
shows, online buddies, and self-reflections and meditations. If you do not have the ZOOM link,
please reach out to Todd: todd.mcgraw@cuccstc.org.
SEM & College Scholarship Applications
We are about to begin receiving Summer Experience in Ministry (SEM) and college scholarship
applications from our High School Seniors and college students. Contact Todd for an
application or further information: todd.mcgraw@cuccstc.org.
Children’s Ministry
CUCC families were emailed resources for this week’s Sunday School activity. Families are also
invited to watch Joseph: King of Dreams (available on Netflix), as it follows our Sermon
Series. We are looking for ways for kids to stay involved through creating prayers, meeting
digitally, and working on at-home activities. Please reach out to Kim with questions or to be
added to the family email list: kim.arneson@cuccstc.org.
Wednesday Morning Worship
This Wednesday, March 25, at 7 AM, we will try an online Wednesday Morning Worship
service. If you would like to join, use the ZOOM meeting link and meeting ID below to join in
the conversation. Click here to set up ZOOM prior to Wednesday morning. If you would like to
join for this service, but would like technical support, please reach out to any church staff.

We will continue to provide weekly updates as we find new ways to remain connected
throughout this season. You are not alone, even when you feel alone. Know that you and your
families have been in my prayers, and PLEASE reach out if there is anything we can do to
support you.
Peace,
Pastor Josh Kuipers
