Christianity 101 Book and Bible Study for All Ages, Confirmation Class Through All Adult Ages. Starts Sept 26, until Nov 14
Christianity 101
Some things are worth repeating… but that doesn’t mean they can’t be new and fresh too! This fall, Christianity 101, meeting on Wednesdays, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Rodgers Hall, will offer a fresh new look at the fundamentals for those who have been Christians a long time, and for those who are trying to figure out what they believe, which will include this year’s Confirmation class. The truth is, we’re all pretty much in the same boat, and trying to find our way together, newcomers and oldtimers alike, will keep us honest and make it more fun!
We’ll meet first on September 26, and then October 3, 10, 17, 24, November 7 & 14, finishing on December 5. Adults will read To Begin at the Beginning, by Martin Copenhaver (Pilgrim Press, 1994, Revised Edition) which is available through Amazon. The Confirmation class will have related but different readings and, of course, we’ll all read from the Bible.
Whether you’re new to Christianity, feeling the need to refresh your faith or, maybe, struggling to figure out what you really believe and trust, this class could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for. Each class will involve youth and adults in conversation, and in a group exercise or project that brings together the range of perspective and experience we share.
To say that you’re coming (and to request child care) please sign up on the Christian Ed bulletin board or contact the church office – office@CUCCstc.org, (630) 584-0929.
